- ☐ No grinding when braking
- ☐ Parking brake holds on incline
Steering and Suspension
- ☐ Steering wheel free play under 2 inches
- ☐ Returns to center after turns
- ☐ Tie rod ends tight
- ☐ Shocks/struts not leaking
- ☐ Ball joints no excessive play
Tires and Wheels
- ☐ All tires have 2/32" tread minimum
- ☐ No cords or belts visible
- ☐ No bulges or sidewall damage
- ☐ All lug nuts present and tight
- ☐ Proper tire pressure
Lighting System
- ☐ Both low beam headlights work
- ☐ Both high beam headlights work
- ☐ All four turn signals work
- ☐ All brake lights illuminate
- ☐ Tail lights function
- ☐ License plate light illuminates
- ☐ Reverse lights work
- ☐ Hazard lights work
Glass, Mirrors, and Wipers
- ☐ No cracks longer than 11 inches
- ☐ No damage in driver's vision area
- ☐ Both wipers clear without streaking
- ☐ Washer fluid sprays adequately
- ☐ Both side mirrors present and functional
Safety Equipment
- ☐ Horn audible
- ☐ All seat belts latch and retract
- ☐ Doors open and close properly
- ☐ Hood latches securely
Exhaust and Emissions
